What the PTFA Means to Our School

As the P.T.F.A. involves the whole school community we thought you would like to know what others think about our P.T.F.A

The hardworking and dedicated members of the P.T.F.A. provide a valuable link between parents and the school. The extra funds from various P.T.F.A. events through the year provide very welcome additional benefits to the children at Northfold. If you have some time to spare please get involved.
From the Governing Body
Our P.T.F.A. raise money for much needed, valuable 'extras' which the children in school would not enjoy otherwise. Many of our P.T.F.A. work tirelessly in school and some are at school as much as the staff ! However, any amount of time and effort is very much appreciated and we are always looking for people with new ideas.

The PTFA organise fun events, and raise lots of money to buy cool things for school. The May Fair is great and my friends and I look forward to going every year, its lots of fun with very yummy cakes!

I have been a P.T.F.A. member since my daughter Freya started school, because I wanted to be involved in school-life and be part of her education. After about 8 months I took over the role of secretary then following a change of members, I took over the role of Chair Person.

I work full-time so the majority of the work I do for the P.T.F.A. is in the evening at home. Fortunately we have some great members that are able to give up a little of their spare time during school hours. There is always lots to do and we all work together to make sure our events are successful and enjoyable for everyone.

I admit at times it can be difficult juggling work, family life and planning and organising P.T.F.A. events and meetings etc. but it is very rewarding to see everyone enjoying themselves and raising additional funds to benefit all our children in school.

My daughter will be moving to year 5 in September 2014 so I’m approaching the latter stages of my P.T.F.A. involvement. To ensure Northfold P.T.F.A continues to be successful and beneficial to all, it is essential that we encourage more people to be involved and recruit more ‘hands-on’ members.
